Default 4g micro card problem

Please Login to Remove!

Okay folks...

So I bought one of these and put about 3 songs on. When I put the card into my BB 8800..it is like it does not exist. I have to go into options-advance option-media card-install media card and then it recognizes that there is a card. Why must I do this everytime ? also sometimes it states that the media card cannot be read but, once I click on install media card and bam there it is again. Kindly assist.

Regards,

Do you disconnect the memory card and connect it to your computer?
Folder structure of the memory card should be
Blackberry
- music
- pictures
- ringtones
- video

Anyway, to transfer files you should connect the phone trough USB cable.
Enable mass storage mode , options -> advanced -> media card.
When you remove the usb cable you need to install it again as you decribes.

Atleast this is what I do, and it works fine.

Actually yes, I did put the card into the BB first . I usually take it out and put through the USB driver and load music that way. It just seems that everytime
i put it back into the BB, I am needing to have the card reestablished .

Does this sound correct ?

Maybe you already know this but if you attempt to view the contents of your meadia card from the 8800 while it's connected to your desktop via USB the media card will not appear. When connected via USB you can only see the contents via Desktop Manager. Once you unplug, you should be good to go. This one drove me crazy before I figured it out.
Cheers.

Yes, not only did I discover this but still occasionally forget - the problem - going into Media Player (or 3rd party apps), the card still does NOT show up while in MassMedia mode on usb. I have panicked, twice now.
