Default MemoPad edits in handheld don't update in Outlook

I'm using a BB 7250 with Outlook 2003. I'm using the BB desktop 4.0. I synchronize AddressBook with Contacts, Calendar with Calendar, and MemoPad with Notes. The AddressBook and Calendar seem to work OK. When I do an edit in Outlook>Notes the handheld MemoPad updates correctly. BUT, when I do the opposite, do an edit in handheld MemoPad, even though the desktop 4.0 software sync message tells me that the change will be made to Notes, in reality, that change does NOT happen. Outlook>Notes stays the same as it was before. Why? Am I missing a setting?

Try to use desktop manager to re-setup the sync. You might have changed it so that changes only go Outlook > Blackberry rather Outlook > Blackberry > Outlook with a sync.


Configure the PIM applications for Microsoft Outlook.

In BlackBerry Desktop Manager, double-click on Synchronize or Intellisync, whichever appears in the BlackBerry Desktop Manager window.
Select the Configuration tab.
Click Configure Synch.
Select the application that you would like to synchronize, and select Choose.
Select the program that you would like to synchronize with, and click Ok.
When you have all of the applications that you wish to synchronize configured, click Ok.
Click Synchronize now.

I had already checked that. When I do Configure PIM > MemoPad > Choose then I can select Import, Export or Synchronize. I have Synchronize selected. So it should update both ways. The interesting thing is this: During the synchronizing process, the Desktop Manager thinks that it is updating Outlook/Notes. It says that it is going to change one item and asks me for the go ahead. I give it the go ahead. It completes the process. But when I go into Outlook/Notes, it didn't in fact happen.

That is very strange that it detects the change and will not update it. Only thing I can suggest is an uninstall/reinstall of DM. Another might have a better idea of how to fix this though.

Well, now it has started working. I'm not sure why. Once after editing the 7250 and then choosing Synchronize Now, when it asked for go ahead, I chose Resync. After that it seems to work now. So maybe there was a damage in the history.
