I just bought my TRS-80, it only has 15k. Was I jipped. Should I take it back for service or void the warranty and open it up. Maybe I have a "k" virus. Also I see the "search" button had fallen off during shipping and I don't know where it goes.

Can I install new themes on my Intellivision OTA? I have a prototype wireless USB adapter installed as a passthru to one of the controller ports.

Yes, I have an Intellivision data plan.

I would definately upgrade to the ADAM computer attached to your Colecovision game console. That way you can play zaxon or "super" action baseball while working on your "BASIC" programming skills. If you lucky and you have the "expanded" memory you could fly Microsoft Flight Simulator v1.0 on you 16 color monitor.

This really dates a few of us.

Default "Ring" tone generator

Make sure you have the latest Wireless USB parallel card attached so that you can load from your tape recorder to the new standard 720K MD-DD Double Density 5 1/4" floppy. It is most certainly going to the standard for many years.

10 INPUT "What is your name: "; U$
20 PRINT "Hello "; U$
25 REM
30 INPUT "Do you want BlackBerry Ring Tones?: "; N
35 S$ = ""
40 FOR I = 1 TO N
50 S$ = S$ + "Ring"
55 NEXT I
60 PRINT S$
65 REM
70 INPUT "Do you want more BlackBerry Ring Tones? "; A$
80 IF LEN(A$) = 0 THEN GOTO 70
90 A$ = LEFT$(A$, 1)
100 IF (A$ = "Y") OR (A$ = "y") THEN GOTO 30
110 PRINT "Next time please use the search button";
120 FOR I = 1 TO 200
130 PRINT U$; " ";
140 NEXT I
150 PRINT

That brought a tear to my eye. Now, if it was written in IBM 360/370 Assembler, that would truly have made my day.

I just got Bluetooth to work between my BlackBerry and a mainframe.

Default 2 Questions

1. Who the heck was George Plimpton and why was he the Intellivision spokesman?

2. How can I enable Dolby 5.1 sound on my Space Invaders console?

You need the USB Dolby AC-3 decoder module. Then you have to get the USB to RS-232 adaptor. Then you have to get the RS-232 to 10 volt analog terminal block. Next cut the connector off your controller. Be warned if you purchased the 30 year extended warranty it is probably up or you are about to void it. Wire it all together and if it doesn't work call the manufacturer and tell them what you did, they might send you a new one if you still are under extened warranty. Of course this only works if you have reprogrammed your eprom with version 0.5148900003 and a half. If you need a eprom programmer I have a spare I could sell you for a buck two eighty.

Dolby EX is so cool on my "Pong" game. I have my "hi-fi" hooked up for the massive "doink" sound. When you get it past the other player it does the THX sound. Of course the controllers are wireless transmitting in the 17.895 kHz shortwave band so that your friends and neighboors with Ham radios can listen in to the intense action.

Everything you want to know about George Plimton: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Plimpton

George Plimton was a big sporting celebrity back in the day.

Time to crank up my new 78 of Eminem on the ole gramaphone.

Did you get the bluetooth extention cable from IBM and did you plug it directly into the OSA adapter? Where did you find the driver, on the IBM for dummies BBS?

Shall I compile that BASIC for you on my 8086 with DOS 1.2 on it? If I debug it, I can make a foto for you so you can see how it looks in assembler. Maybe I can transfer the foto from film to the mainframe via the 8" floppydisk.
