I was wondering if anyone knows of any good easy and free calendar apps for the 7100t running on 3.8 OS. Also is there anywhere i can download new backgound pics for my phone menu. Thanks

If you or anybody else manages to find a decent replacement for the default calendar app, I'd be interested to know.

The default calendar seems incapable of handling recurring events properly. If I enter an event that occurs every other Friday and spans through to the following Monday, when I sync from Outlook the 7100t calendar has the event starting on a Saturday and ending the next Wednesday (the times are correct however) and it occurs every week instead of every other week!!

If I open the event starting on the Saturday on the 7100t, it says that it is actually Friday and it says to recurr weekly, every two weeks - but then puts the same entry in every week!! Everything looks fine in Outlook.

Just been experimenting.

It doesn't matter if I create the recurring event in Outlook (2003) or on the 7100t. It syncs fine the first time but it all goes pear-shaped on subsequent syncs. I've had to replace recurring events that span multiple days with single whole day events to get around the problem.

It could of course be Outlook 2003 (or Intellisync) that's messing things up, although everything looks to be okay in Outlook. I'm not using BES by the way.

I agree that the calendar application is lame compared to the better ones out there, but I have no problems setting complex appointments in Outlook 2002, SP3 and syncing them regularly with my 7100t. I'm not on BES either.

After extensive hair-pulling, I've found that it syncs fine the first time if you enter the details on the 7100t first, but that subsequent syncs get messed up (only on the 7100t - Outlook seems to be fine). If you enter the details in Outllook first, then the first sync results in scrambled event dates (again, only on the 7100t). This seems to imply that it has something to do with the way that Outlook is holding the information or in the way that Intellisync is translating the information from Outlook.
