Default alx ali files

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone
i need your help.
when i download a program to my PC intending to transfer it to my blackberry via a desktop loader it fails to see the program on my PC desktop. I presume this is because the file on my desktop is not ali/alx type of files. my question is how i could save the downloaded program to my PC as ali/alx files.

Thumbs up Verizon 8830 alx. download?

This alx is becoming a big hastle for me. Is there a link for me to retry and get the alx downloadable.

I've downloaded the vzw software 8830 a dozen times. I can't get a software file to unzip because I don't have the alx program. When I try to get the alx program, it doesn't connect.

Any help is appreciated.

I have no idea what you just asked.

What are you trying to do?

Thumbs up

John, I probably don't know what I asked either. I go to the below link; download the thinkMicro file - but it doesn't work & it says "application not found". Not sure what is going on, but it should be straight forward....

Thanks for the reply.

Here is what I'm trying to do:

I can't post the link because I have < than 10-posts. But it is at the thinkorswim website.

1) Most blackberries require an update on their software before they can install thinkmicro. Download the latest version here.

Windows users

2) Download and unzip thinkMicro

3) Launch BlackBerry desktop manager and click "Application Loader".

4) Connect your BlackBerry device to your computer with a USB cable.

5) Follow the installation wizard to find and select the "thinkmicro.alx" file (unzipped on step 1) - this will install thinkMicro on your device.

6) If installed correctly you will now have a thinkMicro icon in your applications folder.

You need to install the OS for your device to your PC. Once you've done that you should be able to install your application.
