Hello with all,
At first sorry for my english and sorry for our poor match'rucgby today ;)
Without wanting to make of redundant subject, I expose my problem of connection between my 8820 and the network wifi. In short, I am under free but it does not matter because I also tested on public hospots. With each time I connect myself on a network wifi I have these various stages: - accessible detection of the networks = OK - connection on the selected network: seized of the key wep (for this example) = OK And after it is the drama: ( I have the pretty message "connection to the network gnagnagna" Then "impossible connection" Reason: Failure of the unknown network == it is well what grains me Enregistrer in spite of out this network wi-fi as a profile. If I make yes and that I go in the navigator with on page by defect: Google I am on a request in progress (bars blue which filled) then "impossible to be connected to Internet, réessayez later on" When I go in the configuration of the navigator, I have:
- the navigator in mode: "Wi-Fi navigator"
- all notched boxes
- type of media for style sheet: "final mobile"
- to post the images: "wml pages and HTML - emulation mode: "blackberry" - mode of contents: wml and HTML
- page of starting: "Page of bookmarks - Address of the banner page: "http://www.google.fr"
In the general properties: "Navigator wifi" When I turn over in the networks wifis available I see connected...
And at the time or I write this topic I have just decontaminated and to reactivate the wifi and there it goes a little better... I managed to make apparaitre the google page... But after while testing of surfer I fall on a message which appears by chance "unable to find the server request" In short I hope to have given a talk of my rather precise current situation, by hoping that somebody can come me to assistance.

I just got my 8820 last thursday and experienced the same as you. The WIFI connection would work, then it would not. I am not sure what wireless router you are using but I have the WRT54G from linksys. I went to their website and downloaded the most recent firmware update. After installing it, then resetting all of security features, my wifi on the 8820 works great and without any disconnects.
Note: you only have control of your own network, other hotspots that don't update their firmware will not help you.

I hope it helps,
Trvlngmn
