Default my 8830 won't erase messages

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know what is wrong with my 8830?

When i go and select my messages and delete, it does not delete the messages, the messages are still there. It appears only to be happening to my older messages, my most recent ones it will delete but no others.

Did I do something to my settings so it will not erase??

You need to either wipe the handheld (which is what I did when I had this issue) or use the BlackBerry Software to manually remove the messages (haven't tried this method).

Did you maybe back up your Blackberry to your computer with the messages in your inbox? I did that with some calls in my call log and everytime I reset my Blackberry those call logs would reappear. I would first try to delete all messages and call logs and then back up your blackberry. I don't if this will help your situation, but I thought I'd through that out.

I had the same issue before. I backuped all the messages to the PC and deleted all the file on BB and restored them to the BB. It resolved the issue.

That happened to me a while back. Try highlighting the day header and deleting the whole day of emails. That worked for me.
