Default Outlook Calander Appointments and 8700c times off

Please Login to Remove!

Issue that I'm having currently is that you can send a meeting request for 3:00 p.m. via the Calander in Outlook 2003, and it show's up on the BlackBerry 8700c for 3:00 Monday.

Now, if you send a meeting request from the Blackberry to your Calander in Outlook 2003 @ 3:00 is show's as 4:00. An hour ahead. But show's up on the BB as 3:00 Is anyone else having this issue? I already know about the DST time issues, ( all software was updated) and have loaded the latest OS on the BB, resent the service book to the blackberry, applied all patches.

Still, is an hour off in the Outlook 2003 Calander if you send a meeting request from the BB.

Anyone else have this issue?

Hi bbkid68

You are not alone. I have the identical problem.

What is your version of exchange?

I called Blackberry tsupport and was advised the problem is with the cdo.dll in our exchange 2000. The cdo version on the Exchange and Bes match, but according to Tsupport there isn't a version of the cdo available for exchange 2000 to support the DST changes.

Funny though...after pushing out the DST patches thru the BES last year, we haven't had any calendar issues. Until the recent DST change. Tsupport suggested that we did, but we just didn't notice it (?) Whatever.

It will resolve itself in a couple of weeks on it's own. We are in the process of upgrading to exchange 2007 which will hopefully make it a non-issue by the time the next change in the fall comes around.
I'm really tired of the whole DST headache

Hey Pokey,

Thanks for responding. Glad I'm not alone. We are on Exchange 2003 with the correct CDO.DLL's matching. I have everything like it is suppose to be and it's still off. unbelievable. Wish there was a way to resolve this once and for all.

Same here. Also, I notice that appointments made on Outlook will appear correctly on BB. Appointments made on BB will appear one hour late in Outlook. BB 8700c. Server version 4.1.0.40. Exchange 2003 SP2. Outlook 2003 SP3
