Default BES to BIS

Please Login to Remove!

So am leaving my job in a couple of days and am on a BES server.

If I set up my laptop using BIS will it take over the BES and synch Outlook locally or do I need to erase the device and start from scratch?

Thanks

SGM

There are 2 ways to do this:

1. Wipe the device and start from scratch.

2. Have your IT department send a blank IT policy to the device.

My memory tells me that wiping the OS won't wipe the IT policy. Hence, blank IT policy first. Maybe Sith can chime in?

I just had to change BES servers, and doing the wipe got rid of the IT policy. Then I was able to sync up with the new server.

I just found the discussion. mckinneycm: not to discredit your experience, but others have stated otherwise.

Why
Moving off BES - how do I get rid of security policy?

How to:
Remove IT Policy

*the IT policy doesn't prohibit you from activating on a new server (unless they have that prohibited in the policy somehow). It could prohibit you from using certain device features though (ie camera, memory card).
