Default SIM card help - new user

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
I just purchased a used 7280 .. popped in my SIM card and thought it would just accept my settings.

I am a complete newb to blackberry.

Do I need to use the desktop manager to wipe out current settings in order for the device to accept my SIM card?
Date on phone is Sept. 2005 ..

bought used first as a test run..
SIM card is used currently in my razor.

any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Forum, Bill O'Brien! I hope you find this site useful.

Are you sure your BB is unlocked?

How do I determine if my BlackBerry is "unlocked"? - BlackBerryFAQ

This is from this Board's sister site: BlackberryFAQ. Please try using the link. The thing is, the site is in back-up as of now, and mods are busy fixing it. I guess it'll be up soon. I'm not much familiar with your BB model. I guess you can also try the Search menu at the top.

Good luck.
