Default Desktop Manager - 4.3 Crashes

Please Login to Remove!

Running Outlook 2007 and Google calendar sync program with my 8830. Just got off a bes server so this is a brand new install. Desktop manager crashes during sync at record 184 of the Outlook calendar.

Any ideas? I have done the usual, reset, repair, uninstall, reinstall, deleted contacts in Outlook as well. Anyway to track down record 184?

Full Moon this evening!!!

Thanks as always!!!

SGM

Since you were on a BES previously, did you remove the IT Policies?

After you remove them, download and install DM 4.2 SP 2 rather than 4.3.

Default IT policies

I was told the IT policies were wiped out when I wiped the device. Is that incorrect?

Thanks

I was having this problem some time ago. I went to view sync log file and tried to identify the specific contact that was causing the problem. I deleted it in Outlook and set up a new contact for it. Then I ran the sync without a problem. Hope it helps.

Default Calendar

Seems to be a calendar issue. I deleted the last calendar entires prior to the crash and it just crashed at the next calendar event. Anyway to erase entire Calendar in Outlook?

I don't think wiping alone will remove the IT Policies. Check the FAQ: Remove IT Policy - BlackBerryFAQ

I agree with Dubdub, uninstall DM 4.3 and install 4.2 (SP2).

If that does not do it, in Outlook: Calendar>View>Current View>All Appointments and you will see all of the reminders and can do what you like with them.
