Afternoon all,

I have just been given a blackberry 8800.

I dont have the charger but i do have the USB cable.

I have had it charging now for about 30mins and the red light is showing (which i guess means charging)
But when i press the power button nothing is working?

Does this mean i may have a broken Blackberry?

I'm thinking that it should have come up by now. I would let it charge for another hour and try. If it doesn't come on report back there may be things you can do to get it working!

Good Luck!

Did you install the "BlackBerry Desktop Manager"? It contains the drivers that will allow for optimal USB charging. Without it, I believe it will just be getting a trickle charge.

Hi All,

Well it has just turned on but is showing low battery so looks like i might need a proper charger.

Another problem i have is the handset is password protected. Is their a way to turn this off?
