Long story short is that my EX-employer (haven't worked there in months) pushed a proprietary security patch to my BB 7100G on Monday. It locked the BB and I had to call their support center to get the password. Now, the handheld locks every 10 minutes and requires a password to unlock. The password must be 8 characters long and contain letters and numbers (not very useful when driving or walking and you get an email and are required to unlock it).

This security patch can not be disabled.

I tried wiping the BB and the security patch is still there.

Is there any way to remove this damn thing using Application Loader or something?

See if your old employer will add you back to the "default" IT Policy; this should remove the password stuff, etc. Then, you should delete the services books so there is no further communication between the BES and your BB.

The issue is that this IS the new "default" IT Policy.
