Default Scrolling

Are far as emails are concerned

1 = top of page.......2 = up one line........3 = up one page
4 = prev msg..........5 = down one page......6 = next msg
7 = bottom of page....8 = down one line......9 = down one page

(Had to use dots to preserve the formatting. Sorry!)

Hope that helps

Default scroll

Hi, Thanks for that.
I should have been more specific, I'm wanting to know how to open a contact and then select say a mobile phone number or work number to call. via keypresses rather than the scroll wheel

( reason for this is that I have my 7100 Cradled in the car and when I use my left hand over the screen to move the scroll wheel, I cant see the screen !!)

Thanks

Doesn't work on my 7290 -- at least on received mail. Any idea why? This is a great feature for emails with a bunch of links that you have to scroll through to get to the meat of the message.

Punching 3 gives me the reply page, 4 gives me the "search" function, and 6 gives me the address book. The other numbers are "dead" keys on my received emails.

Default scrolling

Thanks, what about when making a Phone Call. I have 2 of 3 numbers per contact (Home, cell, work etc) and need a way of scrolling/navigating them without the scroll wheel. (I am in the UK and we drive on the left here so the scroll wheel is the wrong side for me !!!)

really hoping someone can help

Thanks

heh. guinda, read the FAQ on tips and tricks... it should have it in there.

bmw, i'm not sure how to get into the Address Book nor open a contact without using the scroll, but once in, you can type M for mobile, E for email, etc.

I open the Address Book and then start typing the name (either first or last). The list gets pruned down. Then I select the person's name and select "call." It then asks me which number I want to use to call this person. You have to use the wheel then, but it's only thru 2 or 3 numbers (if they have more than one).

To add to DrumWild's statement, the only scrolling/trackwheel function needed is to highlight the Address Book (speaking solely for List themes, such as the Default and O2).

Once Address Book is highlighted, push the Enter button to access. Now type out the person's name and push Enter to access their information. From here, push the >> key or Enter key to scroll between each line listed. Once you have figured out which number to call, push the Phone key and you're dialing. If they only have one number, then you can push the Phone key and it will dial that number.

Even if there are two numbers, the >> key will scroll down to the other if you want. THen push the dial key again and you are golden.
