Partly true.

If you don't have the Blackberry Data plan, you can't do a *wireless* sync of the calendar and address book.
Without the plan, you can still do a sync using a USB cable attached to your PC with Blackberry Desktop manager installed.

Hmm...that is what I tried to do, I installed the software and then plugged in the USB cable, but then I had problems sync-ing so I called T-Mobile and they said you cant sync w/o the plan, but they couldnt get me to a Blackberry specialist.

Every time I tried to sync, it would just give me an unknown error....any ideas?

thanks!

What are you trying to sync to? If it is Outlook, it is possible that Intellisync is having difficulty reading your Outlook profile.

Can you do "wireless sync" with BB Redirector without being on BES?

no. well, yes, but no. scooby made a post that is quite complicated in doing, so good luck if you want that.
