Default Need Help with my 7290

Please Login to Remove!

I just purchased the 7290 through Verizon. I bought the limited data plan, since I only need my emails to be sent to my Blackberry a couple of times a month.

Is there any way I can "turn off" the emails getting sent to my Blackberry while still being able to use my phone? Also, is there any easy way of turning it back on? I'm presently getting my emails through Blackberry's web client site.

Thanks for your help. I'm new at this. Now I know what my parents must have felt like when they had to program their VCR!

I'm not sure if in the Web Client you can turn that feature off. I've never wanted to stop my emails coming to my BB. You said you took the Limited Data Plan, I would suggest taking the Unlimited Data Plan for at least two months, case in point, read this thread: $360 web bill

Most of us got hooked on our BB's really fast, and some of did not take the Unlimited Data Plan from the beginning and got large wireless bills.

If I find a way to turn that off, I'll post it.

Default You're in luck

Log onto the the BWC

Go to Filters

Check the radio box that says do not forward messages to handheld.

I do agree though, that you may want to consider the unlimited plan to see just how much data you end up using. I didn't plan on using my 7230 for much more than some work e-mail while I was traveling, but now I've been using it for web, email, and chatting.

There are a lot of nice things you can do to make life a little easier and more enjoyable for you with the BB.
