| Ring volume on 7250 and PIN # ? Please Login to Remove! Any way to get LOUDER rings from the stock tones onboard? This thing rings like a sissy!
Also, how can I determine my "PIN" number?
Thanks all ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! | | Offline

| Go to "Options", then to "Status" It will show your pin there.

| Again... the great gurus of BBforums come thru for the newbie. Is there (out there) some type of "crib notes" for all the little tricks/info in this baby? Like a BB7250 for dummies (or in my case - dummy) book?
But i guess that's what this forum is for?

| Oh, also... will the ring "tone" search produce tones that are "LOUDER" than the factory onboard ones? | | Offline

Well maybe the "powers to be" will open up a forum thread for non 71xx series blackberrys, with the deal Alltel and Verizon has going, there are going to be a lot of us asking questions. | | Offline

| Calm down.
It's simple: there are no louder ringtones for non-7100 devices. There are no GOOD ringtones for them either.
And for your next question(s) - non of the 7100 themes will work on the 7200 or 7500 BlackBerrys. | | Offline

| On this subject, I managed to snag a few acceptable free ringtones from twighlightwap.com/mobile/ however, there is still the problem with volume. I read in a tread somewhere that you can upload the ringtone to your PC, amplify it with Anvil then put it back on the BB. I found Anvil at download.com but can't figure out how to get the ringtone from my BB to amplify it or how to get it back on the BB when I'm done.
I tried downloading the ringtone directly to my PC but twighlight was a strictly WAP (no PC) site. Any suggestions?
Also, I get 10 megs of webspace from my ISP, can I put the ringtones on my space then upload them to my BB? | | Offline

| Mark FAQS cover all newbie questions if you dont mind reading but you want to take the easy way out and have someone answer your question. Then the same question comes the next day from the next newbie and so on and so forth. I got tired of telling people to search and started answering questions again but dang man people need to help themselves sometimes. First question ever asked here is always about ringtones and themes never fails. | | Offline

| Like some one above said, Calm Down. Ringtones are the least of your wories if you have a BB. I threw you a bone, I can't help it, or anyone else for that matter if you can't get ringtones for your BB. I'm in the same boat with my 7510, but since mine is in the Holster 99.9% of the time, why bother. No more bones for you. | | Offline

| I appreciate the bone. I was hoping that since being new to the BB and also the forum, it would be understood. I also figured that in the title of the thread/question, the fact that i mentioned it is a 7250 right off should have indicated the unit. I guess im wondering why 10 posts later I'm told nothing exists for my model. Hopefully those that are "seasoned" with this forum and their unit can tolerate us newbies until we ( I ) become more profecient with the layout of things. I hope I didn't bother anyone or tick anyone off. Just trying to get help so maybe - later - I can give it back? Again, thanks all for your help. | | Offline

| You can purchase ringtones for your BB 7xxx at www.handango.com with "Ringtone Megaplex" by Terratial Technologies. When you purchase this item you have unlimited access to their ringtone library which they state updates frequently. You can access them directly from your BB and add them to you tunes list immediatley There are many selections including some pattern sounds that might make your device sound more audiable, I am not saying they are louder they just seem louder. I have actually downloaded 26 different ringtones to my BB7520. These are not midi, but if you are looking for a little spice for your BB 7520 this is the spot. | | Offline

But if you say it works with a BB 7xxx, I'll take a closer look. | | Offline

Also, I get 10 megs of webspace from my ISP, can I put the ringtones on my space then upload them to my BB? | In case anyone is interested this worked with the exception of amplifying the volume. I'll have to figure out how to do that in Anvil.
I took a small portion of a wave file, converted it to MID with Anvil, uploaded it to my personal webspace, went to my webspace on my BB and played and saved the MID file. It does appear in my ringtones! I think we are onto something here!
Next question, how do I delete ringtones I don't want from my BB? | | Offline
