Strange email issue (please help!)
I am a somewhat new BES Admin for a very small organization and one of my users of an 8830 has a strange email issue.
He can email to most people (including me who is on a different domain and exchange server) but certain people he can't email (he just gets the red X). He can't even respond to an email from these people that he has trouble with.
I checked to confirm his "Send as" permissions were correct (even though they would have to be in order for him to be able to email "most" people). I also confirmed he has no filters set up.
Does anybody have any ideas?
Are those messages coming in via BES or via his personal set up in BIS?
What IT policies do you have in place?
The messages are coming in via BES. I never changed any IT Policies so whatever the defaults are...are applied.
what is the error message when you open one of the red x messages?
Is he able to send and receive emails from the troublesome parties via outlook on the desktop?
I just asked him what the error message was and he said he doesn't remember.
He will tell me next time hit happens.
Yes, he can send to these users from Outlook on his PC.
