Leaving for Thailand tomorow for a week. I would like to stop receiving emails (BIS) while there to limit roaming charges, but still use BB Messenger to communicate with my wife. What is the easiest way to do this? Also, does messenger use a lot of bandwidth?

easiest way to do that is to remove the accounts from your BIS account, and just readd when you get back. BlackBerry Internet Service. messenger data usage depends entirely on how much you send/receive. dont send images or other files you should be fine. also might want to check out a program called MiniMoni - Traffic/Data monitor - Beta testers welcome.

I believe you can go to the BIS site and check a box in the filters section to "not forward messages to handheld." Then when you get back, just uncheck the box.
