Default 8830 Won't Establish Connections

Please Login to Remove!

Got a Verizon 8830. After charging last nite, unit won't establish connections.

No phone. No internet.

Removed battery, replaced. Still nothing.

Suggestions?

Did you follow the activation directions that come in the box? It gives a number to dial and follow the instructions.

Phone was activated by my employer. Their tech support can't help til morning.

Can't dial *228, no connections to mobile network.

Excuse the stupid question, but is the wireless turned on? If not, go to Manage Connections -> Make sure the first box is checked.

If it is on, are you just getting 1x instead of 1X or 1XEV? What happens when you try to make a call? Just get call failed?
