Well, 11 months old and my 8700 finally went into a coma.

It's been a good device, and has been the host of MANY different OS versions during it's stint in my holster.

This afternoon, it went to a black screen with a solid red light and that's all she will do.

It will not show up to on the computer, PERIOD, to even try and wipe and re-load it.

She's done.

Rogers is UPS'ing me a new one, kind of funny, since I was going for an upgrade to the Curve on the 2nd of May, so I'll only have this new 8700 for a week before I upgrade.

Crazy how these things happen.

Yes, I did, and the device is non-connectable.

Did you get FFFFFFF's for a PIN? Did you see what to do if JL_Cmdr won't connect? Sorry, you may have tried all of these steps, I just didn't want you to have to go to the expense of a new device if you can avoid it!
