Cool What bugs me the most....

Please Login to Remove!

I come into work and sync my BB....
while im in my office i add new meetings and new contacts////
I cannot "trust" my BB to sync itself ( like palm units do) to sync when new info is noted in folders that need to be synced.
I have no idea how often (I have read 15 mins) this unit syncs with the Desktop Manager...
I wish there was a workaround, maybe another peice of software that can be added to the manager to force sync the unit every hour or so...

I must add that my unit is password protected and upon doing a sync i must put in my password...but if I sync again in a relative short amount of time...I do not require re-entering my password.
If any of my BB bretheren have a solution for me....let me know.
Thanks.

With the exception of programs like Google, your e-mail polls mail to your bb and arrives between 3 ands 15 mins later.

You can sync your BB to Outlook through desktop manager for calendars, contacts and tasks instantaneously if you use the wire.

You know what bugged me the most is having to hit the ALT button before each number when entering a ZIP CODE! I asked if all ZIP codes are numbers then RIM should not require me to hit the ALT key before each number!

Then I was reminded by a nice Canadian that they use Alpha and numerical characters in their ZIP codes.

Oooops!

Thanks Canadians for the Blackberry!

Thanks for my RIM stock!

The Unit doesnt OTA sync unless you are on a BES. Even then it doesnt sync with Desktop Manager but rather your Messaging system (Domino, Groupwise, or Exchange). There are hosted BES solutions out there that will give you the wireless sync. Also, in the aftermarket section there are programs (one is subscription the other is a one time fee i believe) that allow for OTA sync on BIS. Check them out.

As for the sync, how soon after are you syncing? Every single time i plug my device in it asks for the password, even 2 seconds after i disconnect it. Are you leaving the device connected and then resyncing?

I am not talking about OTA....since i manaully put my stuff into outlook there is no need for OTA....
I am referring to using the desktop manager when and only when I am in my office.
Now it's done through a bluetooth dongle
