Hey Everyone!
Looking for some help. When on a call, and another call comes in (and i don't answer the 2nd call), my phone will somehow lock up and when trying to make a new call after the first call is over, the phone ask's me if i want to conference, which i don't but then the phone just locks up and the only way to unlock it is to take the battery out and re-start it....

Anyone have any suggestions as to how to prevent this from happening?
I'm not sure which software version i have and can't find it... (how do i know?)

this bug was fixed successfully awhile ago with an OS upgrade.

Hold ALT and type "EACE" to check your version (or Options->Status, whatever)

The latest Verizon version is 4.2.2.176. To get the upgrade, go here and follow instructions: BlackBerry® Software Updates

You can get more up-to-date OSes from other CDMA carriers, but IMHO the Verizon one is fine and I've been using it for months without any major bugs.

I've a fellow here with 4.2.2.66 and it's doing the same thing, locking up in conference calls. The latest version I just downloaded from

vzw.smithmicro.com/blackberry

looks like the same stuff. I'll try a reinstall but I don't think they fixed it... at least not this one.
