Default GSM unlocked 8700g - Downloading pictures or files

Please Login to Remove!

My GF got an unlocked 8700g blackberry. I managed to setup internet access with it using Opera Mini. She doesn't have a blackberry plan with her provider, so I'm using their mobile internet service I use on my Nokia E62.

When trying to download something with the Blackberry, it gives me an error and it seems Opera tries to intiate the download through the BB browser (which does not work with my network provider). How can this issue be resolved?

OM won't download files, it calls on the BB browser to do so, and without a Data Plan, you won't have that browser. That is just the way it works, sorry.

Correct. Just a downside of not having the Data Plan.

Thanks for confirming what I thought.

So, my only way to upload ringtones is via media manager. Could you please see if you can help me out with that (in my other thread).

Thanks
