Default 7280 gets stuck in GSM mode

Please Login to Remove!

My 7280 periodically gets stuck in GSM mode, even when I am in a good GPRS area. I have tried getting it to rescan, etc., and the only way I get it to switch is to pull the battery. It occurs in different location, and a friend has had the same experience with their unit, so I doubt it is a hardware issue specific to mine.

In case it matter, I am in Boston using Cingular.

Download the new RIM software for 7280 from Cingular's portal...

It's 3.7.1.115 I believe. This fixes the GSM stuck issue. Since I've been using this, I've never had that problem although I used to have it alot with older software.
:D

For me, turning off and on the radio works.
