Contact the company you're buying the code from first and ask what their refund policy is if the code doesn't work.

I got a Blackberry from my pastor, he gave me his 8800 when he got an iPhone. I called Cingular (now ATT) and explained to them that I am a missionary living overseas, and I would like to get the 8800 unlocked. They were very helpful. They asked for my IMEI number and gave me the unlock code, no charge. She even talked me through the unlocking process.

The link works for me - it was down for an hour of DB upgrade last night

I've used GSMPhonesource.com a few times and had a very quick turn around. I'll be trying HorizonWirlessOnline.com next time.
