Wirelessly posted (8310; The Juggernaut) Yea, there are lots of good programs for the 8820, same good prgrams as for the rest of the 88xx, 83xx, etc., look over in our Aftermarket Software section and in our http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/Main_Page site. |
Wirelessly posted (8703e) What kinds of programs are you looking for? -simpson |
handango.com has quite a few as well. |
Is there a way to put similar programs into folders like I did with my Treo? I had "Games" that I would open and then my Blackjack, Cribbage, Solitaire, etc. would be available for selection. Also had "Main" menu with the primary programs that I opened a LOT on the first page, keeping my "desktop" fairly clear. If I could do this, it would be easier to just have one "Email" folder, with access to all of my accounts on a second page rather than all of them cluttering up the main screen. Thanks! |
The first five icons/apps on the full Application screen will usually show on the first/home screen. You can move them around and can create folders and drag icons/apps into folders. While looking at the whole bunch of icons/apps, pressing the MENU button (left of trackball) and look for Move, Hide, Folders, etc. You will get the hang of it. I've got a Games, MAPPING and Util folder arrangement. |
Gotchya! Thanks FF2! I'll work on that tomorrow! |
A quick question if you dont mind. Do you have any list of Freeware that you use for your 8820 or any compatible software. I've got a few on my phone, but not many. I've looked through the threads, i'll do the grunt work i'd just like to hear your freeware list and comments thank you so much tontone |
I don't have any particular list. I've just found stuff looking but someone might have such a list. I've got about 5 free gps programs, Gridmagic has a free version of its excel/spreadsheet program, I've got a free Shopping list program, chronograph, world clocks, Jewish Calendar program, Alternate alarm program, some game offerings and a bunch of weather programs. |
