I just took my 8800 off the chelf where it has been sitting for about 2 months, I popped in the battery and the phone will not turn on. I dont have a regular wall charger so i decided to plug it in usb. The phone has been charging for a bout 6 hours now usb and it still will not turn on. Do i need anything installed on m computer to charge the phone or will it just do it by itself. The little led is glowing red does this mean it is charging? Do i need to install some driving chargers on my computer? Is this normal? Please let me know guys

You need to have Desktop Manager installed on the PC as that has the drivers you need.

If you have other Mini USB wall chargers in the house try those, if you see a green flashing light the unit is charging. Some USB chargers work others dont, I found that Motorola phone chargers work.
