new 8830 user,there were a couple of times when i'm in a meeting and was on mute,i pressed the button on top and the screen said I'm muted. Then had to talk to my kids and the folks on the phone can hear me. i swear my phone says it's MUTED! is there another way to mute the phone? thx.

Hard reset (battery pull) and test (BEFORE you are on a work call). You may also want to try navigating via the Menu if the top button is not working. While on call press menu>Mute Call.
