Default Lost applications?

Please Login to Remove!

Okay, so I went to www.j2me-software.com and downloaded a few games and other things. However, only "Fiver" shows up with an icon. The other games are under the applications section after I go into the tools section.

Now, when I say they are under applications, I mean:

1. I go into the "Tools" icon.
2. Then, I go into the "Settings" icon.
3. There is a long list of things and I go up to "applications" and then I see all of the things that I downloaded.

I click on the scroll wheel, but the only things that I am allowed to do is look at the properties, delete it, look at the modules, or close and hide the menu.

I want to actually play the games and use the applications.

How do I pull these games out onto the main screen or even a sub-screen?

How do I get an icon for them?

Right now, I can't do anything with them.

P.S.

Do I come up with some goofy questions or what?

You're doing better than me... I can't even download them. How are you doing it? Most things I try to download, don't even download successfully. "Invalid JAD" or something like that.

Have you tried a different theme? I've noticed the different themes shift the icons around a bit, maybe they will show up with the list theme or the vodafone or 7230 one.

This happened over a week ago, but I do believe that I used the list theme and nothing changed. I just want to know if I need to try to download them again, or if there is something else that I can do before deleting them.

Abruzzi, I don't believe that I am doing anything special. I just go to various sites and download them. There have been a few applications that were too big and I couldn't get them. I have also had a few "invalid JADs." But overall, it's been pretty simple and great fun.

Go to the website and see what you like. They have this game called "Four In a Row" which is actually Connect Four that is absolutely addictive. Also look for a game named "Fiver." I think you'll like that one too. If you can download it.

You can also ask Mark on how to convert the .jad files to .cod.

On the actual www.microspace.com website, they appear to have a better version of Four In a Row than the one that I have, but it doesn't list the BlackBerry as one of their phones. According to Mark, there is a way to workaround that, but I'm a little nervous about trying it. I don't want to hurt my little phone.

Now that I've looked further, a few thing in the games section worked. I had been looking in the apps and utilities sections, and still so far, nothing has worked - every one has been an "Invalid JAD." Unfortunately I'm far more interested in the apps and utilities than I am in the games.

Upgrading to a newer version of BlackBerryOS often solves some of the problems. Waiting until OS 4.0 can help. (i.e. 3.7.1.41 -> 4.0.0.124 improves compatibility with Over-The-Air applications for me, at least)

I do not have any experience with the 7100 series (only the traditional berry models). This sounds like there may be a bug with the 7100 series.

This needs to be reported to RIM.

Okay. Thanks. I'll just delete them and try to download them later this year.

Let's see, I downloaded Las Damas17, Memory, and a few other games and applications. I wish you had asked me earlier because I just deleted them. However, they did not generate an icon or any other way for me to actually use them.

The other games generated an icon that looks like an old Packard.

Whoever goes to j2me-..., definitely download "Fiver." That is really fun if you don't let it drive you absolutely crazy.

I just downloaded memory. Using the Default (List) Theme from the Home page it was under applications --> memory. However just to be sure I could run it after I downloaded the .jad I had an option to run it so that is what I clicked on. then I used alt + esc to switch to the home screen and look for it but I could always use alt + esc to get back to it if I couldn't find it. So you can try that too. But it is so damn small on this resolution screen of the 7100t that I'm not keeping it around.

No, this was using the list theme... so it was just the word "memory".
