first, hold the battery out a min, and replace. If the red LED and hourglass continue, you will likely be a candidate for using JL_cmder to wipe, and restore the OS.

Ouch. I am hoping (Fingers crossed) that you have a backup. You will need to try and re-load the OS.

Start here:

How do I wipe the BlackBerry using Jl Cmder? - BlackBerryFAQ

If that fails:

What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ

Then:

How do I upgrade the OS on my BlackBerry? - BlackBerryFAQ

Be patient in the last step and DO NOT disconnect until it is complete.

Good Luck!

have you tried what JS suggested and leaving the battery out for a minute then trying the boot up? also, how long do you see the hourglass? does it just reboot or does it sit on the hourglass for a long time

ALWAYS - ALWAYS Be Diligent About Backups! I do mine daily at work and as often as I can at home.
