Apologies if this has been covered before, I've trawled through several threads to find a resolution for my problem but to no avail. I've only had my blackberry a few weeks so I'm a bit of a novice. I've asked a few other blackberry users and looked on various websites but no joy.

I used to be able to lock by blackberry using the icon with a padlock on the menu screen so that the keys could not be pressed while it was in my pocket etc. Now this Icon has dissapeared I have no idea how to lock my blackberry! Could anyone please let me how I can retrieve it or another way to lock my blackberry?

I'm pretty desperate, as I keep ringing people by accident!

From the main icon screen hit menu show all. The icon might be hidden there. If it is navigate to it and press menu and uncheck hide. If it is not hidden hit menu options theme and change the theme to a different theme. See if the icon shows.

You can also press and hold the "mute" key on top of the device to put it on standby mode as well.

Alternatively you can press ALT followed by ENTER from the home screen, that will lock your BB as well
