Does anyone know if the BIS upgrade will have any effect on the 8703e from Sprint? I would love to have HTML email veiwing without having to spend $500 on a 8330.

No effect until OS 4.5 comes out for the 8703e. There are many other reasons for upgrading to the 8330 besides html email.

I know upgrading to the curve would bring alot more which is why I'm trying to hold off until the BB Bold and even more. That said the CDMA network wont get the Bold for awhile so I will wait for 4.5 for CDMA which hopefully will come out first

I emailed Alltel CS today to ask if/when we could expect to see OS 4.5 for 8703 and the reply I received was a bit bleak. They said that as far as they have been told, OS 4.5 will not be released for the 8703e ever, at least on Alltell, but it would be for the Pearl and Curve and they nicely added (which are newer models) like I didn't already know that. So...if I want HTML I will have to spend some $$ :(

Hmmmm.

You may be better off waiting for one of 9xxx models.
