Default Jog wheel press default action

Please Login to Remove!

I have recently bought a 7290 as a backup/alternative to my 8100. I installed the latest OS from O2's website, which is 4.1.0.351.

I'm very pleased with it so far, but one issue is that on pressing the jog wheel down I get a menu instead of activating the default action. Eg. if I press the jog wheel on a mail I get the menu rather than just opening it.

Is there any way to change the jog wheel default action to choose the default menu item? (Eg. view mail for the Mail app, Get Link for the web browser.)
