Default sure type not working

Please Login to Remove!
Just got a 7100 and it will not let me me enable sure type. any suggestions. And i have taken the battery out. PLEASE HELP.

Go into any field where you can type text, like compose email. Put the cursor in a field. Then hit the trackwheel and select "enable suretype"

I did that...its not an option. Its a brand new one. I had the same problem before with my last blackberry.

Does it show abc in the top right corner? You can also try going to Options >Lanuguages and change it to English SureType there.

Yes it has the ABC on the top.
