Default I have a question about my main screen

Please Login to Remove!

I do not know the correct word for it, but the screen that just has a few things on it. How do I change what is on there? I read somewhere that it is in
the order on the other screen with all the icons on it, but mine is not and my
husband has 6 on his screen and mine has only 4. Am I making any sense at
all?

thanks,

Lisa

Click menu - show all

click on a gray icon and choose hide which will unhide the item.

I think you're talking about the zen screen. You should be able to move icons on the main screen. The first 4 on the screen are the first 4 on the zen screen. So, from the main icon screen, highlight the icon to move and hit the menu key and select "move."

Cool BB Icons on Main Screen

I use the Zen screen. I would love to get rid of the bottom screen icon called "Applications" ! Does it not have the same functionality as one of the 4 main BB keys ? In fact, do not ALL themes have this icon ? Why...Why...Why??

The only way to get rid of that is to switch to a different them that doesn't have it.

just delete the icon, it will ask to move all items in the folder out, say yes. then all those will be out. you can create your own folder and put whatever you don't use a lot into that folder and then your screen will be cleaned up.
edit: oh and i'm pretty sure the tmobile zen and verizon theme don't have that icon

That "applications" icon is not a delete-able icon. It's part of the theme.

Duh...What? I am afraid to hide/delete all my icons...afraid that it will jump up its own...leaving the room in total darkness. Try to 'splain it again.

Bottom line: You can't get rid of that icon on the zen screen unless you switch themes to one that doesn't have that.

I'm thinking that it is needed to support certain context switches, such as when one is browsing and the phone rings or the like. This is PRIME real estate and I would prefer to be able to put another in its place, but...

That is how it goes with themes.

I would be willing to trade another icon for whatever this icon ultimately supports. The problem is, I don't know what that is, is. In other words, be careful...I might get what I asked for all over myself!

they can't let you hide it because you can get the Zen theme with the 8700 blackberries, which you would need to actually go to that button and click the wheel to get to the rest of the applications.
