I just got a 8820 (upgraded from 8800) and I have a blue icon on my home screen that is for the PTT app.

I want to turn this off but can't figure out how to do it. Is there any way other than removing the app from my device?

Basically - I'm trying to maximize my memory by shutting down and erasing all non-essentials. Also, it seems much slower than my 8800 which didn't have the PTT.

You can't turn it "off" so to speak, but you can remove the application from your BB.
