Can anyone help crack my frozen 8703 so I can get to my passwords? My memo folder has all my passwords and I need them in order to use my bb desktop manager. If you can help, please let me know.

What do you mean "frozen?" Is the screen all white? Is it black? Is there an hourglass? Is it stuck on a certain screen? Please provide a little more info. Also, try removing the battery and reinserting to reboot the device.

My unit is just locked in normal. The keys are not responding, so I can't enter my pw to get in. I've tried pulling the battery and nothing happens. I bought a curve and now need to find a way to get into my 8703 in order to transfer data to desktop manager and then into my 8330?

Does Desktop Manager see the device if you plug it in? If so, you could make a backup of it and restore it to the new device or use the "Switch Device Wizard."

yes it does but the desktop manager asks me for a password to use it and I don't know it because it's locked in my 8703?

hmmmmm. Sounds a bit fishy to me.

The password is the same one used to unlock the BB from the lock screen. If you don't know it, then the fact that it's "frozen" wont matter, as you will lose any information on it anyway, unless you know the pw.

If you don't know the password you are in a heap-o-trouble. There's no way around the password. Well, no way to get the data without the password, anyway.

I remembered my password. The problem now is when the dt manager tries to go into the 8703. The device now asks for the same pw and I can't enter it because none of the keys work on the 8703? What would case my keypad to not work on my 8703? Can a tech fix my 8703 enough to allow me to enter my pw and unlock my old device?
