Unhappy Need help with my 8800!!!!!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi I have a major problem with 8800. I don't know what's going on with it but, here's the problem:

I've input all my numbers into my contacts and everything was fine when I rang out or someone rang me everything went smoothly until I received a text, when I open it I cant see who its from only the number.

I found if I put +44 infront of all the numbers, when a text came through it was fine, however I received a call it only displayed the number and not the contact name.

On top of this I have to have smart dialing set to 0 otherwise I can't receive any incoming calls there all sent to voice mail.

So in short I can phone out fine, but I can either know who's phoning me or texting me but not both at the same time!

I never had this problem with my old BB 7130v, mind you that was set up for me by the teck guys were I used to work!

Any help would be greatly welcomed!!!

Welcome to the BBF. Your Smart Dialing options should be set correctly.

Follow the instructions here: My Caller ID name/number do not show when I get a call or SMS - BlackBerryFAQ

Thank you so much it seems to be doing the trick so far, I think it was cause I was putting + into the contact info! Just have to hope it excepts international incoming calls as well and I'm done!

Thanks JSanders for the super quick response! and I think I'm going to like it here!! Thanks again
