Question Trouble placing calls since upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

Since I upgraded my 7130e to v4.2.1.195 (app v4.2.1.110), I need to keep resetting my wireless connection (turn radio off/on or power off/on) to place voice calls. I have reactivated it with *228 as well.

Does anyone have a workaround? I like the 4.2 features but I still want to make a few calls too...

Have you tried a device wipe back to factory defaults?

I thought so. RIM told me to use the desktop manager application loader, select advanced, select Erase all currently installed applications, but my third party apps are still loaded. That's not quite factory. What should I have done?

Question Calls hang at Connecting

I wiped the 7130e with jl_cmder and reloaded the OS. After resetting the device, I can make voice calls for a while. Within an hour, voice calls hang at "Connecting" until I either reset the device, turn off/on the radio, send/receive a message or browse a web page. After any of these, the voice calls can connect.

I asked both Verizon and RIM for a previous OS version to help me troubleshoot my problem. They both refused and claimed I have a hardware problem (that immediately followed my OS upgrade). Verizon has graciously offered to sell me a newer unit...

Does this issue sound familiar? Thanks...Scott
