| To enable the GPS Function, you go to Options>Location Based Services> set Privacy Settings to "Unrestricted".
But I recommend you to set the Privacy Settings to "By Permission", this way each time you access the software you choose to use, it will ask you if you would like to access the GPS resources on your phone, it will somewhat save you battery. I have a fair share of experience on the use of the GPS on this phone because I like to Geocache, the software I use is Spot for BlackBerry, it is very cheap and it worth every buck you pay for it.
