Default E-mail not being pushed, HELP!!!

Hello everyone,

I recently purchases an 8700g for t-mobile. I used to have a pearl but with my line of work (surveying) I found the 8700g more resilient to outdoors handling. I have had it for a week and cannot get the e-mails to push right. With the pearl my 3 addresses pushed fine. But with the 8700g they do not. I have reset the email set up and no good response. I have re-sent the service books and no help either. I like this phone but if I can't get it to work by the end of this week, I'm going back to the pearl.

I went to:

acct1
e-mail>message options>e-mail settings>message services>acct1

acct2
e-mail>message options>e-mail settings>message services>acct1

acct3
e-mail>message options>e-mail settings>message services>acct1

Is this the way it's supposed to be? I thought each acct had its matching e-mail address when you looked up this option, not all 3 different e-mails the same e-mail acct.

That sounds like you've got something setup wrong. They should each have their own info.

I've even tried deleting my work e-mail, and hotmail e-mail and redoing them. My bb e-mail seems ok. I've also noticed that whe i go to edit the work e-mail, it shows the address user name and password. However, on my hotmail acct all info is there except for the password, which no matter how many times I input and press save, it does not save it.

One more issue: My status light does not flash anymore... Usually I would turn off then on the wireless mode and it would reset the light on the pearl but I guess it does not work on this, any hints would be appreciated...

Try deleting the service books for all the accounts, pull the battery with the BB powered on then resend the service books, and see if this works.

Did that also several times. No matter what e-mail acct (corporate, web based) they have to have the bb.net e-mail address under message services?

Do you have the proper PIN and IMEI entered into your BIS account (I assume you are using BIS).
