Welcome to the forums ajwilkins.

Automatically deleted? What is your keep messages settings?

Manual deleted from the BB? They stay in Notes?

Could you give some more information?

Welcome to the forums

I don't know too much about Notes. I would assume that these messages were on the device prior to it being activated on the BES. I could be way off here as well.

This can be done via desktop manager. Plug the device into USB port, open desktop manager, select backup/restore, select advanced. When the right panel populates with the numbers from the device, scroll down to messages and click 'clear.'

This will delete all messages on the device, however it will prevent you from wiping the device.

Smile Emails not being deleted from Balckberry.

Thanks for you welcomes.

The emails in question can be removed from the email client[Lotus Notes], but on the next synch they are not removed from the Blackberry.

Oddly enough, it is emails older than about 6 months, newer emails can be deleted.

Where do I find the "keep mail setting"

Andy

Messages / Options / General Setting / Keep Setting

Most options on a BB work "form now on". You might have changed a setting 6 months ago. From that moment on it worked the way it should. Everything before has be done manually.

Default No luck.

Have tried this but still the same. -

This is not my Blackberry by the way, I work for an IT dept and am trying to solve this remotely, our resident expert has not come across this issue before.

Will keep digging.
