Okay, I tried very hard to keep the screen blemish-free while I looked for a screen protector. Unfortunately, my toddler got to my 7100t the yesterday and did a number on the screen. I've got deep scratches as well a spider-web of smaller ones.

Does anyone know if the screen is user-replaceable? Has anyone tried popping the screen off? I played with it for a little bit, but it looks like the silver tab at the top is glued in.

One thing that could save me is that I have a defective 7100t that I am about to return. If I could find a way to swap screens that would be perfect.

Looking at the screen it seems as though the plastic may just pop off. I suggest you call RIM and see if they have a service manual and parts

It looks to me like the screen is build into the front of the case and not removable on its own...

You can pull off that silver ear piece thing. Pull from the top of it. Then pry the plastic screen off, its just an adhesive. I don't know if you can get replacements though. If you were to order a replacement Game boy advance screen for $5, it comes with a cool little tool to easily remove these type of screens.
