Default Can I use the 4.5.0.75 firmware on a Orange-UK 8700f?

Please Login to Remove!

I got my 8700f on Friday, but it wouldn't complete its sync with Outlook. We had to resort to a "Wipe Handheld", but this never completed and we were forced to remove the battery, at which point it just sat there with a white screen and a spinning egg timer.

After reading many posts, I was able to fix this, by installing the latest OS (4.1.0.319) but I discovered the post above which said that 4.5.0.75 is available. Since I havn't even started using my BB yet, I wonder if now would be a good time to 'upgade'

However the site is for "Orange Romania".. I can't work out whether this will work on BBs for other carriers in other coutries and just wonder if anyone has used this on an Orange-UK BB?

I look forwards to your replies

Jon

Many thanks.. I will do it now!

Out of interest, is there any kind of 'change log' which shows the fixed and new features in this release?

Since I don't know what my BB can even do in its 4.1 form, I won't know what improvements I am seeing in 4.5!

Cheers

Jon

Wirelessly posted

4.5 brings HTMl email, Documents To Go, a spell checker and a few other changes. 4.1 has none of the above.
