Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 9000 4.6.0.67)

Is the jabra headset a stereo bluetooth headset? If not you will not be able to use the default app. Check for third party media players.

Question

Bump...

I too have a 8830 and can't listen to my music via my bluetooth headset.

What's the solution because honestly, this should be something that just works out of the box IMO.

Once you pair you BT headset, go into your BlueTooth options and then to the options of that device, under Servcies it should say something like Audio source or something along those lines. What Services are listed on your BT Headset.

Also once you are connected to you BT Headset and you are playing music on your BlackBerry hit the menu key and hit "Activate Whatever your BT Stereo is"

I haven't gotten myself a BT Stereo headset but I do have the Stereo Gateway which worked like a charm.

The key here is that it must be a BlueTooth headset capable of A2DP audio. I have ety8s by Etymotic Research. Once I have them paired with my 8820, a menu item appears allowing selection of them when playing audio. No third party app required. However, they will not work when playing video.
