You can unlock by selecting: * and Send/Call key

In case you didn't know, all the unlock will do is allow you to use another GSM SIM when you are outside North America. The 8830 is locked to CDMA in the US and can't be changed. Plus they are also locked to the network the device is branded with, i.e. Verizon on Verizon, Sprint on Sprint.
