Post BB messenger

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys I just upgraded my software to 4.5v, anyway I tried to download the bb messenger from the bb webpage but it won't let me. Does de 8700 support the bb messenger? Any ideas?

Yes, it does.

Go to mobile.blackberry.com and get it.

It should have been in your OS upgrade, actually.

If you have OS 4.2 or higher on your 8700 then you won't be able to download BBMessenger from the BB webpage. You'll need to install it from the OS upgrade package.

but i already installed the 4.5 and i don't see the bb messenger

Look in an applications folder, or if it is hidden:

On the mainscreen > Menu > Show all.

You can look in Options >Advanced Options >Applications and see if it's listed there. If it is, then it's installed. If it's not listed there then you need to install it using the OS installer. Just check the box in application loader to install it.

Also, as I stated above, some themes have an "instant Messager" folder on the home screen and it is usually in there if that folder is loaded.

it's not listed in the aplications list, how do install it usin the os installer? do i need to reinstall the os?

No, just plug in the BB and run application loader. There should be a checkbox for BlackBerry Messenger. Just check the box and finish the loader process to load the app to the device.
