Email technical issue
I have an 8703e and my email stopped working. I could recieve but not reply or initiate email messages. I had my IT department reset my mailbox on the BES and it worked again.
My problem is that I have old messages (prior to the reset on the BES) on the handheld that will not delete. I have tried multiple battery pulls and tried a sync from Desktop Manager.
This is sometimes caused by stale messages on your device, prior to the EA.
You can connect to DM and click backup/restore. From there, select advanced. The right side window will show what is on your device. Scroll down to messages, and click clear. This is not selective however, and will remove all messages, not just the ones you aren't able to delete on the device.
I performed the steps you listed and - problem solved. My IT department is not BB saavy and this would have taken days! Thank you!(y)
