Charge 8830 in Europe - how to

I will be traveling to Europe soon, and I need to figure out a plan for charging my blackberry 8830. How do I do this? Do I just need an adapter? Do I need to get a charger for overseas?

I just found another thread on here that answered this.

It helped. Thanks.

So I just basically need to get an adapter and a sim card? Where would I get these?

If I recall corrrectly, the 8830 came with a few international adapters.

You have to find out what style power outlets are in the country that you are going to. This website lists the different outlets for each country: Electricity Around the World

If your BB charger says INPUT: 100-240V, 50-60Hz, then you won't need an electricity converter, just the plug adapter.

I think Best Buy had some adapters. Target or Walmart may have them too.

As for the SIM card, check the Sprint store or call the 800 number.

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond. I understand now. Thank you! I am going to check the box it came in and see what all came with it.

I looked, and there are no adapters, however from the way you sound it shouldn't be too expensive or difficult to get them. Does it matter what kind of adapter I get, just as long as it corresponds with the plug letter indicated on that website?

Thank you very much for the website link. It is helpful. I thought all the countries I would be going too would have the same, but they don't. Thank you for pointing it out.

Here you go:
AC power plugs and sockets - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You can bu them here at any office supply store, Radio Shack, etc. Or once you get to Europe the larger hotels keep a small supply on hand.

All of the BBs I have owned came with the additional adapters, however I am guessing now that is not the case for others.

See this: Blackberry Accessories - Global Adapter Clips

Maybe those cover what you need.

Radio Shack, large drug stores, airport electronic shops. Especially in the UK and Europe - I bought a ton of cheap adapters the week before last in Heathrow.

Your Sprint devices was packaged with the SIM for international use.
